HR Apprentice
STATE BANK OF INDIA

The purpose of the role is to provide HR administrative support to the department as well as provide assistance to the Department Head in the area of HR events co-ordination.

Apprenticeship summary

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Maintain Employees Personnel Files in a current and accurate manner, culling duplicated documents where necessary and ensuring that mandatory documents are obtained from the pertinent parties
  • Maintaining removal of leaver personnel files into separate filling system
  • Co-ordinates the purchase and distribution of lunch vouchers, maintaining accurate record keeping of same
  • Manages and co-ordinates Employees' Birthday presentations
  • Carrying out the distribution of monthly Pay slips
  • Co-ordinate Employee of the month ceremony including purchases of trophies, Certificates and Vouchers
  • Maintaining accurate record keeping of Invoices
  • Recording all training courses on training log
  • Preparing employee References as required
  • Maintaining and ordering of stationery
  • Assists with the preparation of new joiner starter kits and day 1 induction training
  • Maintain data on employee engagement platform- adding/deleting employees
  • Posting mail pertaining to HR and maintaining a record on spreadsheet
  • General administrative support to HR department
  • Maintaining and updating data on HRIS
  • Coordinating for successful execution of training programs and other HR events
  • Carry out scanning and filing when required
  • Answer and advice on general queries
  • Extend HR operations support
  • Perform duties as delegated by Head HR and line manager

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

On programme Training:

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English
  • Institute of Apprenticeship Certificate

End-Point Assessment (EPA):

  • Knowledge test
  • Skills test
  • Oral questioning - underpinned by portfolio

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

To be discussed upon completion of the apprenticeship.
