students and staff at the Blue earth summit
London South East Colleges’ Holly Hill students had an exciting opportunity to attend the Blue Earth Summit this month, receiving 15 exclusive preview tickets to the high-profile event held at Woolwich Works.

Now in its fourth year, the Blue Earth Summit has grown into a major gathering for over 5,000 innovators, start-ups, global corporations, politicians, adventurers, academics, celebrities, and campaigners, all united by one mission: to connect, collaborate, and create planet-positive change.

Recognised as one of the UK’s leading events for sustainability, innovation, and community engagement, the Summit inspires action on the urgent need for climate awareness and environmental regeneration.

Across three packed days and ten stages, over 300 speakers shared insights and ideas - including Dragons’ Den’s Deborah Meaden, Sweaty Betty Co-Founder Simon Hill Norton, and representatives from major organisations such as Virgin and the British Business Bank.

During their visit, the students enjoyed a guided tour of the venue, explored a range of interactive stands, and gained valuable insights into the latest innovations driving sustainability.

A standout moment of the day was watching the Small Stage Pitch Session, where CEOs were given just 90 seconds to promote their business ideas in the hopes of catching an investor’s attention - an inspiring look into the fast-paced world of entrepreneurship and green innovation.

The visit offered students an incredible chance to see sustainability in action, network with professionals, and experience how businesses are working together to shape a more sustainable future.
